Help
Get help
Where to find answers and how to reach a real person, from the Help panel inside Buildliy to the FAQ, the contact form and reporting a harmful app.
Stuck, confused, or something isn't working the way you expected? There are several ways to get help, from instant answers to a reply from a real person. Start with the one closest to hand: if you're in a project, that's the Help panel.
The Help panel
The Help panel opens on the right side of the screen, without taking you away from what you're doing.
- In a project: click the question-mark icon (Help) at the top of the chat, next to the build history clock.
- On your dashboard and other pages: click Help at the bottom of the left sidebar, just above your credits.
Here's what's inside:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search box | Type a few words, for example "undo" or "credits", to search the common questions. Before you type, it shows a few common questions. See all questions opens the full FAQ. |
| Ask in chat | Only in a project. Puts your question in the chat box with the box set to Discuss, so the AI answers without changing your app. Nothing is sent until you press send, and the answer uses a few credits. |
| Replay the tour | Only in a project. A quick walk through the workspace screen. |
| Read the guide | Opens these docs. |
| Contact us | A short form that sends a message to the Buildliy team. A real person replies, usually within one business day. |
Ask in chat is handy for questions these docs can't answer, such as how many credits you have left, or for talking an idea through before you build it.
Ask AI about these docs
Use Ask AI on these docs pages to ask a question in your own words. It answers using only these docs and links you to the pages it used. It can't see your account, projects, credits or billing, so for anything about your own account, contact the team instead.
Questions can be up to 500 characters, and if you ask a lot in a short time you may need to wait before asking more.
The FAQ
The FAQ answers the most common questions in four groups: Account & billing, Builds & projects, Templates and Privacy & security. It's the same set of answers you can search from the Help panel.
Contact the team
If you can't find an answer, write to a real person. You can:
- Use Contact us in the Help panel. Your account email is filled in for you, and the team can see which page you sent it from.
- Use the contact form on the website. Pick a topic (Support, Sales, Press or Other), enter your email and your message, and click Send.
- Email hi@buildliy.com directly. This is the best option if you want to attach screenshots.
The typical response time is one business day.
Never send your password, backup codes, API keys or card details in a support message.
Write a request that gets solved quickly
The more the team knows, the fewer back-and-forth emails you'll need. Include:
- Which project. Copy the address from your browser's address bar while the project is open, or give the project's name.
- What you asked for. The prompt you sent, or the button you clicked.
- What you expected to happen.
- What happened instead. Copy any error message word for word.
- When it happened, roughly, and whether it happens every time.
- Screenshots of the chat and the preview, if you can. Email them to hi@buildliy.com.
For example:
Project: Yoga Studio Bookings (link: …) I asked: "Add a booking form to the classes page." I expected: a form under each class. What happened: the build finished, but the classes page shows "This preview hit an error". I clicked Fix it twice and it's still broken. When: today around 3pm, every time I open the page.
Before you write in, check Fix problems. Many issues, like a blank preview or a missing page, have a quick fix you can do yourself.
Account, billing and data requests
- Cancel or change your plan: see Plans.
- Questions about credits: see Credits and usage.
- A copy of your data, or deleting your account: see Security and privacy, or email privacy@buildliy.com.
- Lost your phone and your two-step sign-in backup codes: email support@buildliy.com from your account's email address.
Report an app
If you find an app built on Buildliy that's a scam, asks for passwords it shouldn't, spreads malware or pretends to be another company, report it. You don't need a Buildliy account.
Open the report form
Go to Report an app. You can also use the Report link in the "Built with Buildliy" badge in the bottom-right corner of an app, when the app shows one.
Tell us what's wrong
Enter the App address, choose what's wrong with it (Phishing or scam, Malware, Pretends to be another brand, Illegal content or Other), and describe what you saw. A description is required if you choose Other.
Send it
Add your email only if you're happy for the team to follow up, then click Send report.
The safety team reviews every report and takes down apps that break Buildliy's rules. You can also email abuse@buildliy.com.
If you typed something into a suspicious app, act now: change any password you entered (and anywhere else you use it), and contact your bank if you entered card details.
Report a security problem
If you think you've found a security issue in Buildliy itself, email security@buildliy.com. See Security and privacy.
