Publish and grow

Analytics

See how many people visit your published app, which pages they open, where they come from and what devices they use, without cookies.

Once your app is live, Buildliy counts its visitors for you. There's nothing to install or set up: every published app gets a small, privacy-friendly visit counter, and the numbers appear in your project's Analytics view.

Visitor counting doesn't use your credits.

Open your analytics

In your project, open the Workspace menu at the top right and choose Analytics.

If your app isn't published yet, you see "Publish your app to start seeing visitors." Once it's live, new visits show up within a minute or two.

What you can see

Pick a time range at the top: 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. The address of your live app is shown next to it.

NumberWhat it counts
VisitorsDifferent people who came to your app. Someone is counted once a day, so a person who comes back on another day counts again.
VisitsEach time someone arrives at your app.
Page viewsEvery page opened, including moving between pages inside your app.

Click any of the three to change what the chart shows: Visitors per day, Visits per day or Page views per day.

Below the chart are four lists:

  • Top pages: which pages get the most page views.
  • Where visitors came from: the websites that sent people to you, or a campaign tag if your link had one.
  • Countries: where your visitors are.
  • Devices: phone, tablet or computer.

Days follow UTC time.

Note:

These numbers are approximate. Some visitors block counters, and Buildliy filters out bots and floods of fake visits as well as it can. Use them to spot trends, not as an exact count.

Privacy

The counter is built to respect your visitors:

  • No cookies. It doesn't store anything in your visitors' browsers.
  • No personal details are kept. Visitors are counted without storing who they are. A visitor's IP address and browser details are never stored: they're only used in the moment to filter out bots and floods, work out the country, and make the daily code below. To tell one visitor from another within a day, Buildliy makes a one-way code that changes every day and can't be matched across days or across apps. Even those codes are deleted after two days.
  • Only the basics are sent. The page address (without anything after a ?), the website that sent the visitor, a campaign tag if there is one, and whether the screen is a phone, tablet or computer. Never the page's contents or anything a visitor types.

Turn visitor counting off

Counting is on for every app by default. To switch it off, use Count visitors on your live app at the bottom of the Analytics view.

  • Turning it off stops counting right away and keeps the numbers you already have.
  • The counter itself is taken out of your live app the next time you publish.
  • To start again, switch it back on. If you published while it was off, publish once more so your live app starts counting again.

Only the workspace owner or an admin can change this setting. While your app is offline, no new visits are counted, and your earlier numbers are kept.

Need more detailed analytics?

The built-in counter answers "how many people, from where, on which pages". If you want to track specific actions (like button clicks or sign-ups) or funnels, connect an analytics service such as PostHog or Mixpanel on the Connectors page, then ask the AI to add it:

Prompt
Add PostHog analytics to my app and track when someone signs up and when they complete a booking.

Unlike the built-in counter, services like these may use cookies, so check whether your app needs a cookie consent banner. You can ask the AI to add one. See Connectors.
